Engaging People in Vulnerable Situations in the Energy Transition: Lessons from across Europe

Join the first webinar of FETA’s Community of Practice

A fair energy transition only works if it includes the people most affected by climate impacts and energy poverty. But how do you actually reach and engage them? If you work in a public administration, a civil society organisation or a local initiative, you may well know the challenges.

The first webinar of the FETA Community of Practice focuses on what works on the ground: real experiences and promising approaches from across Europe. Join us to get inspired, exchange ideas with peers and take away approaches for your own work.

Engaging People in Vulnerable Situations in the Energy Transition: Lessons from across Europe

The webinar will open with a keynote by Marta García, CEO of Ecoserveis and part of the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub team. She will explore why a fair energy transition matters and what meaningful engagement actually looks like. The FETA team will then share what they learned from focus groups with vulnerable groups and from the Escalator Programme, which helps best-practice initiatives from across Europe scale up their work towards a fair energy transition. Two of these initiatives will share their learnings on what works when engaging vulnerable groups on the ground in France and Belgium:

In the second part of the webinar, you’ll have the chance to discuss with other participants:

  • Who are the groups you want to reach and involve better?
  • What challenges are you facing?
  • What has worked for you so far, or what would you like to try?
  • What would help you put good ideas into practice?

Your input counts: insights from the discussions will feed into FETA’s recommendations to policymakers.

Save your spot now and share this invitation with colleagues and partners who should be part of the conversation!
